Cochise College will host an author visit with Joey Ramp-Adams, author of Insistent! featuring a book reading, question-and-answer session, and book signing.
Ramp-Adams will discuss the themes explored in her book and share insights from her work. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions during the discussion. Following the program, guests may have their books signed.
Ramp-Adams is the founder and CEO of Empower Ability Consulting and an expert in Institutional Review Board operations, human research protections, and research compliance. Her work focuses on disability access and service dog inclusion in laboratory environments. She integrates ethical oversight, biosafety, occupational health, and federal civil rights law through evidence-based, individualized risk assessment.
She has published extensively on service dog handler access to research settings and authored a comprehensive chapter on collaborative inclusion frameworks in human research protections.
Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to attend.
